## Frequently Asked Questions (from the seller's page)

What kind of protein should I use? You can use a variety of protein options to complete these recipes. Popular options include ground turkey and cooked chicken. Many customers find the Greater Goods Nourish Digital Kitchen Scale and Nutrition Data useful for nutritional data around different protein options. While we can’t verify these tools, they may be a helpful starting point for selecting a protein option that's best for your pet. For optimal nutrition, we recommend consulting a trusted veterinarian. How long does a box last? Each pound of Base Mix equates to about 4 dry cups of food. Find your dog's daily feeding amount using the feeding guidelines. Divide that amount by the total dry cups in your chosen box (see below). 3 lb box = 12 dry cups 7 lb bag= 28 dry cups Example: A 30 lb dog with an average activity level is recommended 1/2 dry cups per day. If you purchase a 7 lb box (28 dry cups), it will last 56 days. Is dehydrated food considered raw? No, our dehydrated food has been gently cooked prior to dehydration. Specifically, the proteins we use are cooked to an internal temperature of at least 165ºF to ensure they're safe and free of pathogens. What does it mean to be human grade? Being human grade means that every ingredient in The Honest Kitchen's pet food meets the same safety and quality standards required for human food. Our suppliers must adhere to strict guide
